The Arab Culture Association concluded a Stand Up Comedy Workshop with Comedian Ayman Nahas, which was 5 sessions over Zoom.
This workshop comes as part of the virtual training workshop series ACA organized recently during the coronavirus pandemic. The workshop aimed to provide training in writing and developing texts for stand-up comedy, in addition to choosing the subject, developing and defining the punch line, and sarcasm.
Artist and comedian Ayman Nahas stated “When ACA approached me about the virtual workshop, I wondered about how it could succeed and engage participants in a subject that relies on direct interaction through screens. However, from the first session I realized that I am dealing with a special group of people, from different backgrounds who have a passion for the subject I love which is stand-up comedy, they also asked questions and raised important personal and general issues.”
